Eligibility
  • Christmas Basket and Holiday Gift/Toy eligibility: MUST be a resident of ZIP code 44035 or 44039 with household income at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline Level. Accepts only one (1) application per address.
  • Additional Holiday Gift/Toys eligibility: Only serves children age 12 and under. Person applying must be the custodial parent or guardian.
Required documents
All applicants for Christmas assistance must provide the following: -For Food Only: -- Photo ID. -- Proof of address. For Gifts for Children age birth to age 12: -- Birth certificates or other age identifying document for children age 12 and under. -- Custody papers if not a birth child. -- Proof of address.

  • Available online generally from October 1st until the end of October. If there are slots still available after the deadline, registration will re-open. Visit the website to see if registration has re-opened.
  • Distribution by appointment in December.

Application process
  • Apply online at www.saangeltree.org. Beginning mid-September visit the website to see if registration has opened.
  • Households must apply in advance during scheduled sign up times, generally by the end of October.
  • Must select option to choose Christmas food box, toys, or both.
  • Call the office for more information or to sign up if have no internet access.
  • All applications will be reviewed and applicant may be required to verify information. Applicants will be contacted and an appointment will be scheduled. Failure to come to scheduled appointment will result in denial of the application.
