Financial Assistance/Donations - Artificial Limbs (PROSTHETICS) | Limbs For Life Foundation
Provides financial assistance for fully-functional lower limb prosthetics to qualified applicants. Payment is made directly to the supplier, not the client. Also accepts donations of prosthetic parts and distributes them to individuals overseas. Donated items are never resold.

Application process
May phone for information or request application during hours of service. Application may also be downloaded from website. Once application is sent or faxed, the agency will notify the applicant as to the status of their application within six or seven months. For donations: a receipt for tax purposes will be given upon request.

Eligibility
Applicant must have no other means to pay for prosthetic care including Medicare, insurance coverage or state assistance. Serves U.S. citizens or legal residents who do not have a violent criminal background (felony record). Income is considered on a case-by-case basis. Clients are eligible to apply for replacement limbs once every 36 months (there are no limitations on applying for socks and liners). Applicant must work with a prosthetist or clinic that agrees to accept LFL payment as full payment for their services.
