Serves children age 6 months to 6 years in Lorain County (excluding the City of Vermilion, which is served by Erie County Health Department).

Required documents

- Social Security card of child being tested. - Insurance card, if applicable.

Monday - Friday (excluding holidays): 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Application process

Call the office for an appointment or walk in during designated times. An appointment is preferred but not required.

Fees

- No fee. - Will bill insurance, if applicable, and a grant will cover any remaining costs.

Service area

Lorain County, Ohio

Offers lead screenings to find out if your child has been exposed to lead. Lead screening is done with a finger prick (a blood sample). The blood sample is sent to a lab for results. When results are received the parent is called and given their child’s lead level.
