Description
Specialize in feet assessment. Nurses test for loss of protective sensation, teach diabetic foot care protocol and the principles of maintaining healthy feet. Feet are evaluated for proper shoe size and fit to accommodate clients' special needs. Toenail trimming is offered and counseling is provided for foot care problems. Referrals made when necessary.
