Provides monthly cash payments for people age 62 and older. Workers may retire at age 62 and receive a reduced benefit. Full retirement age beginning with people born in 1938 or later is age 65. For individuals born after 1939 the full retirement age gradually increases by two months until age 67 for people born 1960 or later.
