Eligibility

Serves veterans who are enrolled with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Eligibility and what is covered depends on a number of factors, like military service history and current health and living situation. Based on these factors, VA places clients into a benefits class - with specific benefits assigned to that class. The following receive any needed dental care: those with a service-connected dental condition or disability for which they receive compensation (Class I); Former Prisoner of War (Class IIC); those with one or more service-connected disabilities rated 100% disabling (Class VI). Otherwise, dental care may be limited certain needs or must be related to issues such as: vocational rehabilitation, to treat a dental condition that impedes treatment for another health issue, or homelessness.
