The application process may be started online through the Ohio Benefits self-service portal at https://Benefits.ohio.gov, over the phone through the Ohio Benefits Hotline, or in person. Arrangements will then be made with agency to complete application. MCP-eligible clients must select and enroll in an MCP, or will be auto-enrolled randomly (plan can be changed with reason, or during open enrollment). Those who are enrolled in an MCP will receive an MCP identification card, which will replace their monthly Medicaid health card. NOTE: If someone meets criteria, is not currently receiving coverage, and wishes to apply, they should be clear about their history as a foster child when applying.
No fee to apply. Once receiving coverage, individual MCPs may charge co-payments for some services.
