Application process

- Visit the website at www.medinaco.org/planning/lead-safe-ohio-program/ for more information and a link to download the pre-application. - Call the agency or the program's administrator (Kleinfelder, Inc 's Housing and Planning Department at 1-877-836-3206) for more information. - NOTE: Due to the increased number of applications and projects determined income eligible, all new applicants will be placed on a wait list. Applicants on the wait list may be reviewed if grant funds become available.

Eligibility

- Serves residents of Medina County. - Applicant(s) name must be on the deed. - Home was built before 1978. - Applicant(s) must be current on all mortgage and tax payments. - Applicant(s) must provide evidence of house insurance. - Cannot be on Land Contract or a Life Estate. - Childcare and residential childcare facilities are also eligible. - Total household income must be at or below 80% of the Area Median Income (updated April 1st, 2024): - Family of 1 = $54,450. - Family of 2 = $62,200. - Family of 3 = $70,000. - Family of 4 = $77,750. - Family of 5 = $84,000. - Family of 6 = $90,200. - Family of 7 = $96,450. - Family of 8 = $102,650.
