Provides advice and other assistance in cases in which the utility company denies or disconnects service improperly. Advice or other assistance may also be available with billing disputes, establishment of payment plans, or explanation of programs for eligible consumers.

Eligibility

Must have a household income less than 125% of the poverty level and be a United States citizen and a resident of Ohio. Will consider expenses such as childcare, transportation, and health care as well as certain assets when determining financial eligibility for service. Income and asset limits do not apply to persons age 60 or older. Not all eligible cases can be taken. Serves Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, and Noble counties.
