Legal Counsel - Indigent - Delinquency Or Custody Cases | Geauga County Public Defender
Provides legal representation (licensed attorney) to indigent minors in unruly and delinquency matters. Provides legal representation to indigent minors who are involved in a custody case where Geauga County Job and Family Services (GCJFS) is involved. Also provides legal representation for parents of children who have been removed from the home by GCJFS: mainly dependency, abuse, and neglect cases. Will also represent incarcerated parents who are involved in a GCJFS custody case.

Eligibility
Serves youth under 18 and in certain cases serves those over 18, such as if crime was committed as a minor. Clients must have been charged with a crime in Geauga County. Serves parents whose children have been removed from the home by Geauga County Job and Family Services. Family must be low income and meet all income eligibility requirements.
