Eligibility

Open to any shelter that meet the approval process in place for Christ Child Society. No direct service to the public. The bags include children's clothing, generally available ranging in size from 3T for toddlers to size XL for age 12-14 (girls and boys).

Service provided by volunteers. No definite hours of service. Shelter staff can leave phone message at any time. Bags are generally ordered and distributed monthly.

Staff at interested shelters can contact the agency by mail or phone. If no answer, leave a voicemail. There is no direct service to the public. Agency will be contacted by Society program chairman to make arrangements. Bags are generally distributed monthly.

Description

Prepares individual bags of new clothes and other items for area shelters to distribute to children who need them, particularly children who must flee at night and have no clothing with them. Each bag includes a seasonal outfit, several sets of underwear and socks, hygiene items, writing tablets and markers/crayons. No direct service to the public.
