Habitat for Humanity offers low-income families the opportunity to own a home. Becoming a Habitat homeowner requires commitment, responsibility and deep involvement. The Habitat program is not a "quick fix" to an emergency housing problem. Most partnerships are 6-24 months or longer before families move into their homes.
The Habitat partnership is a Hand UP, not a hand out. You will work for what you receive and Habitat will commit to helping you succeed by providing opportunity for a positive future for you and your family. Most of Habitat's homeowners have experienced positive impact in areas of finance, education, health, safety and stability due to the affordability of their Habitat homes, along with a sense of belonging in their communities. Because everyone deserves a decent, affordable place to call home.

Providing organization
Habitat For Humanity Of Fulton County Ohio
Habitat for Humanity of Fulton County, Ohio (HFHFCO or Habitat) builds and repairs homes in Fulton County, Ohio for people who need affordable housing and have little or no means to better their circumstances through conventional avenues. We partner with people who are willing to work for what they need, giving a hand up, never a hand out. This principle teaches skills so partners can provide for themselves and teach their children and grandchildren to do the same. Each project requires pay back of the project price (determined through set standards). These payments are affordable because no interest is charged. Project costs are kept low through donations and volunteer labor from those in our communities. Principal payments from partner-homeowners are used to fund the mission, but isn’t enough so we rely on donations, fundraisers and grants also. Habitat does not provide emergency housing; we provide a long-term, permanent solution to affordable housing issues, and minor home repairs/ramps for our must vulnerable community members, seniors and disabled individuals. We welcome applications for our programs regularly, which can be requested online or by contacting the office.
