Legal Assistance - Domestic Violence | Legal Aid Of Southeast And Central Ohio (lasco)

Provides legal services for low-income victims of domestic violence. Services include divorce assistance and assistance with custody/visitation issues for recent victims of domestic violence. Will also assist in filing for those who are seeking a Civil Protection Order (CPO) and/or provide representation regarding necessary CPO court hearings.

Eligibility

Must have a household income less than 125% of the poverty level and be a citizen of the U.S.A. Will consider expenses such as childcare, transportation, and health care as well as certain assets when determining financial eligibility for service. Income and asset limits do not apply to persons age 60 or older. Not all eligible cases can be taken. Serves Belmont, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, and Noble counties.
