Open Door | Ymca Of Greater Cleveland
Provides 125 beds of sober-living housing foreligible individuals who have been released from incarceration and who have an ongoing case manager with a social services organization. Residents have bedrooms furnished with a bed and dresser and share a kitchen and bathroom with one to two roommates.

Application process
A completed referral packet is required from a social services case manager who has worked with the individual for at least three months prior to applying for housing. Referring case workers may call or e-mail to refer someone.

Eligibility
Ages 21 and over, who have entered Cuyahoga County within the past 6 months from an Ohio correctional institution or jail. Must be homeless. Eligible individuals must have been enrolled with a social services case manager for three months prior to applying for this housing and must be referred by their case manager. They must continue case management with the referring organization (at least twice a month) throughout their stay in the housing. May stay up to 18 months. Those convicted for a sex offense or arson are not accepted. Individuals with a mental illness diagnosis must be stable on their medications, as verified by their case manager. Clients must attend at least three AA meetings a week while in housing. May not have a previous criminal history related to methamphetamine production or any other infractions that might make them ineligible for public housing.
