Geauga County, Ohio
Provides humane officers, employed by the agency, who respond to complaints of animal abuse, neglect, and cruelty in Geauga County. Officers are empowered to enforce state and local laws regarding proper animal care, and will initiate prosecution against offenders when warranted.
Provides rescue services for domestic animals (cats, livestock) who are in life-threatening, emergency situations (such as being stuck in a stream etc.). Does not provide rescue services for dogs - must contact the County Dog Warden for canine rescue.
