DIABETES EDUCATION PROGRAMS AND CLASSES | UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS PARMA MEDICAL CENTER
Provides knowledge and skills to help clients manage their diabetes. Services include inpatient teaching, outpatient individual and group sessions, phone consultation, support groups, and classes on topics such as acute and chronic complications, insulin and oral hypoglycemia medicine, testing methods, diet, personal hygiene, exercise, and psychosocial adjustment.

Support groups are free. All other services have fixed fees, but sliding scale based on household income and family size is available. Services are covered by some insurance.
