- Serves Enbridge Gas Ohio (formerly Dominion Energy Ohio) customers residing in Summit County. - Must have a shutoff notice or service must already be disconnected. - All clients MUST first apply for Emergency HEAP and then if they have another shut off notice, they can use Energy Share. - Household income must be at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Guideline level. - Must have a demonstrated need for assistance. - Depending on the amount owed, a co-pay may be required before The Salvation Army can assist. - Individuals are only eligible for utility financial assistance once per program year.
Information needed when calling for an appointment: - Last four (4) digits of Social Security number. - Utility account number and name on account. - Caller's contact number. Clients must bring the following: - Must provide most recent gas bill with a disconnection notice and client's name on the bill. - Picture ID. - Social Security cards for everyone in the household. - Copies of all household bills. - Proof of all household income for a 3-6 month period.
- Program runs until May 31st, 2026 or until funds are exhausted. - By appointment only. Call Monday between 9:00am and 10:00am to make appointment.

- Starting Monday January 5th, 2026: Call the office Monday between 9:00am and 10:00am to start intake for appointment. When Monday is a holiday, call on Tuesday at 9:00am. - Please have account number, last four (4) digits of Social Security Number, and date of birth.
No fee to apply. Depending on the amount owed, a co-pay may be required before The Salvation Army can assist. If the client's service has already been disconnected, the client will have to pay any required deposit before The Salvation Army can assist with reconnection fees.
