Application process

Contact the DCBS office in your county of residence by phone to express interest in becoming a foster parent and be notified of upcoming information session dates and times.

Eligibility

Children must be in the custody of the Department for Community Based Services to be placed into a foster home. Foster parents must:

  • be 21 years old or older
  • have an income sufficient to meet the family's needs
  • be in good physical and mental health
  • meet requirements for housing safety and space
