Peer Supporters are people who have lived experience with mental health and/or substance use disorders who have been successful in their recovery. They use their recovery stories to help others in similar situations by providing support, encouragement, hope and resources. Our ProBono Counseling program provides short-term counseling to individuals who are uninsured or under insured, free of charge. MHA provides the 40 hour training for individuals interested in pursuing a career in peer support. Our trainings are approved for certification in both Ohio and Kentucky.
