Application process

Phone for service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week or use web portal anytime (client will need to register online to use the web portal). Client may also get basic information on their case via live chat M-F: 10:00am-2:00pm through the Cuyahoga County Job and Family Services website. Child Support payment history and balance due is only available through web portal or automated phone line. Clients can use drop boxes in the entryway to return any paperwork in documents drop box and/or submit check or money order only in payment drop box.

Operates several Neighborhood Family Service Centers which provide cash benefits (such as Ohio Works First welfare benefits), food assistance (food stamps), medical coverage, employment/training assistance, child care vouchers, and supportive services to Cuyahoga County residents who meet eligibility requirements. Clients are assigned to a Service Center according to their zip code. Spanish-speaking staff are available.
