Medical Reserve Corps | Ross County Health District
Recruits and trains volunteers prior to emergency events to ensure a ready team of individuals who can assist when there is a storm, flood, power outage, large fire, loss of water, or emergency event that involves setting up shelters or vaccine sites. Some participants are medical professionals, but this is not required. During times of non-emergency, volunteers are involved in preparing and distributing health education and disaster-preparedness materials. This county utilizes persons with clerical, video recording and editing, and IT skills. Does presentations about preparation for disaster in the community.
