Serves Portage County residents age 18 and over who meet income and other eligibility guidelines. The Very Low Income (HCVP - Section 8) Eligibility Guidelines (updated April 1, 2025):
  • Family of 1 = $35,150.
  • Family of 2 = $40,150.
  • Family of 3 = $45,150.
  • Family of 4 = $50,150.
  • Family of 5 = $54,200.
  • Family of 6 = $58,200.
  • Family of 7 = $62,200.
  • Family of 8 = $66,200.

Office building open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Application process
  • Visit the office building to pick up an application anytime.
  • Compete the application in blue ink and return to the office to be put on the waiting list.
  • Applicants are placed on the waiting list and contacted when they reach the top.
Fees
  • No application fee.
  • Rent is 30%-50% of the family's monthly adjusted gross income.
