Eligibility

Serve Ross County youths, age 5-19. Senior Camp is for youth entering grades 6-9, Junior Camp is for youth entering grades 3-5 and Cloverbud Camp is for youth entering kindergarten through grade 2. Eligibility for the exchange program varies depending on program.

Fees

Free (individual 4-H groups may charge minimal dues, but no one is excluded for inability to pay). Nominal fixed fee for 4-H project books. Fixed fee and registration fee for summer camp, although scholarships are available for Ross County residents.

Description

Offers educational programs that focus on leadership development and citizenship by completing projects that center on a specific topic such as gardening, animal science, food and nutrition, the arts, genealogy, mental health first aid, and natural sciences. Youth meet in small groups, or "clubs," to pursue special interests and participate in a variety of activities including, but not limited to: camps, fairs, community service, and leadership. Also offers an international exchange program as well as a week-long residential summer camp. STEM programming offered in area schools.
