DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOAN PROGRAM | ALS ASSOCIATION NORTHERN OHIO CHAPTER

Provides adaptive and medical equipment for those persons with ALS and in need. Equipment availability is subject to change frequently, but will generally have rollator style walkers (a walker with a seat and hand breaks), wheelchairs (power and manual), and power scooters. Items can be borrowed for as long as an individual may need the item. All items (except for bedside commodes and shower chairs) must be returned when no longer in use.

Application process

Phone for information and or to make arrangments for borrowing equipment. In most cases, items must be picked up and returned to the office. Items must be clean and sanitized before being returned to the loan closet. Delivery is sometimes available for larger items; however, it can take several weeks to arrange.

Serves individuals with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis. Must live in Ashland, Ashtabula, Belmont, Carroll, Crawford, Cuyahoga, Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Geauga, Harrison, Henry, Holmes, Huron, Jefferson, Lake, Lorain, Lucas, Mahoning, Medina, Ottawa, Portage, Richland, Sandusky, Seneca, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Tuscarawas, Wayne, Williams & Wood counties of Ohio.
