Recycling Centers | Lorain County Solid Waste Management District

Provides a collection center for Lorain County residents and businesses to properly and safely recycle or dispose of materials including household hazardous waste; scrap tires (listed separately); batteries; fluorescent bulbs and ballasts; electronic scrap; and old books as well as "curbside" recyclables including steel/bimetal cans; aluminum cans; glass bottles and jars; plastic bottles, jugs, and tubs. Offers information about methods for recycling other items such as appliances.

Application process

- Visit the website or call the office for more information on materials accepted at the collection center, materials not accepted at the collection center, and methods for recycling items not accepted by the collection center. - Drive-thru collection center during regular business hours to drop off approved waste products. Businesses with large loads should call first for packaging instructions and to notify center.
