Provides information and answers questions on Medicaid Advantage plans (plans for those who qualify for both Medicaid and Medicare). Some plans offer standard Medicare medical benefits as well as additional coverage and services that meet the unique needs of its members. Extra benefits may include allowances for over-the-counter drugs, financial assistance with housing, utilities, food and more. Not all plans offer extra benefits, and extra benefits may vary by plan.

Eligibility

Anyone can call for information. Medicare Advantage Plans are for those age 65 and older who are enrolled in Medicare and who are also eligible for Medicaid coverage (also called Dual Eligibility). In 26 Ohio Counties, those with dual eligibility are served by the My Care Ohio program and should already be on a Medicare Advantage Plan (these counties are: Butler, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Columbiana, Cuyahoga, Delaware, Franklin, Fulton, Geauga, Greene, Hamilton, Lake, Lorain, Lucas, Madison, Mahoning, Medina, Montgomery, Ottawa, Pickaway, Portage, Stark, Summit, Trumbull, Union, Warren, Wayne, Wood.
