If having hair cut at a participating salon, phone salon first to ensure that the haircut is free. Hair must be placed in a plastic bag and sent by mail in a padded envelope. The mailing must include a hair donation form, accessible from the Web site, or a separate sheet of paper with donor's name and address.

Description
Accepts donations of human hair. Uses donated hair to make hairpieces for children with medical hair loss. Hair must be a minimum of ten inches in length and in a ponytail or braid, but does not accept bleached hair, wigs, or synthetic hair. Participating salons will cut hair free of charge for those who are donating their hair to Locks of Love.
