Application process

- Apply online or call the office for assistance. - Carroll County Job and Family Services receives a monthly list from Children and Family Services of those aging out of foster care and opens a Medicaid case. - If someone meets criteria, is not currently receiving coverage, they should be clear about their history as a foster child when applying. - Clients will need to re-verify yearly after age 19.

Eligibility

- Serves those age 18 through 26 who have aged out of foster care and who reside in Carroll County. - Those who age out of foster care will be covered through age 26 and are eligible to start coverage at any point before age 26. There are no income or asset requirements for this group. - Those who aged out of foster care in other states, and who meet these guidelines are eligible for coverage as part of this group. Those who left foster care before aging out are not eligible for coverage as part of this group
