Adult Mentoring - Inmates | I'm In Transition

Provides a Christian-based re-entry program that starts with intensive pastoral counseling in the prison. Provides social skill-training and bible-study activities during incarceration. Once released, the participant is provided with adult mentoring, support groups, and sober housing. Participants are linked to existing community supports and employment supports where appropriate.

Application process

Intake is initiated in the prison. Interested inmates should ask their Chaplain or counselor about this program. Online application and assessment form must be filled out with prison Chaplain or counselor. May see web site or email for more information on the program.

Eligibility

Serves adult offenders age 18 and older who are to be released in Cuyahoga County. Must currently be working with a Chaplain and/or counselor and sign in for all church services/bible study services offered by the prison. Must also be involved in educational and vocational services offered by the prison. Also must have (or be working toward obtaining) a GED. Will not accept those convicted of arson or a sexual offense.
