Eligibility

Serves households in the City of Cleveland. Income limits are: household of one: $34,800; two: $39,800; three: $44,750; four: $53,700. Must own and reside in the home where repairs are needed for at least one year; home must not be for sale; property taxes must be current (or on payment plan). Can help with a duplex, but will only help with the furnace and/or hot water tank in the owner's home - will not work on the renter's home. Will work on furnaces that are tied into central air conditioning - but only if the problem affects heating functions during the heating season.

Required documents

Agency will advise, but will need: Proof of Income (accepts a variety of proof) Proof of Residence (accepts current utility bill) six months of bank statements. Application and documentation must be complete before service can be initiated.

Hours

Active year-round service provided as arranged between agency and client. Amount of time between application and service may vary from case to case (in most cases this is 2-3 days - but this may change during periods of high demand).

Application process

Phone for information M-F: 8:30am-5:00pm (there is no after-hours voice mail, must call during this time). During times of high demand, callers may not be able to reach a live person to start intake (they should keep trying, or call back at another time until they are able to).
