Description

Provides adult role models through one-to-one mentoring matches for children. Mentoring matches meet a couple of times per month, at a time that is convenient for the volunteer and the child, to do simple, everyday activities together that develop the relationship and strengthen the child’s social/emotional competencies. Adult volunteers are screened and provided training before being matched with a child. Professional staff provides ongoing support and coaching to help the mentoring relationship strengthen between the child, volunteer and parent/guardian and to achieve positive impact.
