Volunteer opportunities include: Lesson & StableMate Volunteers, Special Event Volunteers, and Bingo Volunteers. Volunteering is a great way to give back to your community, have fun, and become part of our remarkable group of authentic, caring people. Individual and group service projects are welcome. Volunteers must be willing to commit to a regular schedule for a set period of time (average 1.5 hrs. per week for an 8-week session).

Application process

Volunteer Training; BCI&I Background Checks (for volunteers age 18 and older) required for all volunteers.

Eligibility

Lesson volunteers must be at least 14 years old; StableMate volunteers must be at least 10 years old; Bingo volunteers must be at least 18 years old. All volunteers must attend regular training sessions; must be able to commit to a regular schedule for a set period of time; Volunteers should enjoy being outside, being around horses and children, and be fit enough to physically do the job.

Serves individuals, ranging in age from 5-adult, with a variety of physical and cognitive disabilities including cerebral palsy, downs syndrome, spina bifida, autism spectrum disorders, multiple sclerosis, developmental delays, learning disabilities, mental retardation, ADD, ADHD, fibromyalgia, hearing impairments, visual impairments, and speech impairments.
