Provides low income persons who are Medicare recipients with several programs including Qualified Medicare Beneficiary (QMB), Specified Low-income Medicare Beneficiary (SLMB), and Qualifying Individual-1 (QI-1) that offer different levels of assistance to pay Medicare premiums and, in some cases, deductibles and co-payments.

Clients may begin the application process, renew, and/or update their case information by calling the Eligibility Contact Center: M-F: 8:00am-1:00pm (due to high call volume, caller may be given the option to receive a call back - if they choose this option they should get a call within one business day).

These programs are for adults age 65 or older or who qualify for Medicare based on disabilities and with income at 100%-135% FPL. Must live in Cuyahoga County and be a citizen or qualified legal alien. Assistance available will depend on income and family resources.
