- Accepts applications from individuals age 61 and 9 months and over AND have worked for at least 10 years. - Must be age 62 and over AND have worked for at least 10 years to be eligible for retirement benefits. - If eligible for retirement benefits, some members of the applicant's family can also receive benefits.

For individuals born after 1939, the full retirement age gradually increases from age 66 until age 67 for people born 1960 or later.
