Eligibility

Accounts can be opened for children who have not yet turned 18 before the end of the calendar year. Children must have a valid Social Security number and be a United States citizen. Parents and/or legal guardians must open the account. NOTE: A pilot program contribution of $1,000 will be made for children born between January 1st, 2025 and December 31st, 2028 who are United States citizens and have a valid Social Security number.

  • For questions, call the Trump Account call center at 866-872-4547.

Fees

No fee to open an account. There is no minimum amount to open an account and no account fees. Maximum contribution of $5,000 per year. Funds cannot be used without penalty until the children turns 18 and must be used for qualifying expenses such as higher education or home purchase.
