Eligibility

Youth ages 7 through 14 in Northeast Ohio, including Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Portage, Summit, Medina, Lorain Counties.

Required documents

Application. For sliding scale: Proof of income such as SSI Letter, check stubs, tax return, child support alimony, pension, or unemployment letter. At least two weeks before camp will need documentation of child's medical examination certified within the past 12 months by school nurse or doctor.

June through July. One week sessions (Su-F).

Sliding scale (based on family size and income) Camperships (scholarships) are available for families who qualify.

Description

Provides overnight camping for youth of different backgrounds so they can experience an integrated environment that is racially, ethnically, socio-economically diverse. All meals are provided. Each week campers experience a variety of hands on activities including: high/low ropes, alpine climbing wall, boating, archery, horseback riding, farmstead, arts and crafts, nature studies, campouts, cookouts and evening programs with campfires.
