Adults 18 and older who have recovered from a stroke or other brain injury. Those who have experienced a stroke or other form of brain injury must be able to walk unassisted into the pool.
Physician's written approval
Classes are held in 6-week sessions, but may join at any time. -Moving on: M, Th: 12:00(noon)-1:00pm Moving on Aquatics: F: 1:00pm-2:00pm Balance/Gait: Classes run from September-July.

It is best if all physical therapy is completed before starting classes. Phone for information or registration M-F: 7:30am-8:15pm, Sa: 8:00am-12:00(noon). For transportation, phone for a reservation for the van M-F: 9:00am-4:00pm.

Fixed fee; may be a discount for those living in Berea, Brook Park, Middleburg Hts., Olmsted Falls, and Strongsville.

Description

Provides exercise classes for those who have recovered from a stroke or other forms of brain injury. Class are taught by physical therapists or physical therapist assistants and includes stretching, relaxation and isotonic exercises. Also provides an exercise class for those who want to work on their balance and gait (moving on foot).
