Teaches people to read and type using both traditional and contracted Braille, a system that uses raised dots to represent numerals and letters of the alphabet which can be identified by the fingers.

Provides a place for anyone with visual challenges to talk and be with people who have lived through similar struggles. Offers a variety of classes taught by volunteers, including Braille, computer training, crafting, fitness, and culture. Opportunities exist for skills training, education, independent living exchange training, a store with aids, volunteerism, mentors, youth and senior programs.
