Youth Technology Academy | Cuyahoga Community College
Provides academic, hands-on technical and work readiness training for youth interested in careers in robotic technology. Students learn to program and prepare computer-driven robots for competition with other teams locally and nationally. Service includes tutoring in math, opportunities to enroll in special engineering and/or manufacturing technology courses at the college, and job seeking skills.

Youth, parents, or school staff may call to see if school is participating. Enrollment is ongoing during the school year, although some sites may have waiting lists for the program, since there is a limit to the number of participants. Organization does a yearly presentation at participating schools, but interested individuals may call anytime for information. Phone messages will be returned.

Eligibility
Ages 14-18 (9th-12th grade) who are enrolled in participating high schools in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District, which includes most of Cleveland, parts of Brook Park and Garfield Heights, and all of Bratenahl, Linndale and Newburgh Heights. Must meet low-income guidelines.
