Youth Challenge | Youth Challenge

Provides opportunities for children with physical disabilities (including vision and hearing impairments, Cerebral Palsy, Spinal Bifida, Muscular Dystrophy, arthritis, Cystic Fibrosis, Epilepsy, and heart disease) and youth volunteers to come together through one-on-one participation in a variety of adapted sports and recreational activities. Activities available for wheelchair participation. Activities include hockey, swimming, horseback riding, bowling, tennis, rock climbing, arts and crafts/music instruction, day trips, and more. Supplies and equipment are provided for participation in programs.

Eligibility

Northeast Ohio. Children with physical disabilities from age four until graduation from high school (or until participant turns 19). Those with mental disabilities (emotional or developmental) are not eligible for this program even if they have a physical disability in addition to the mental disability.
