Eligibility
- Individuals who have already been diagnosed as a diabetic by their physician are NOT eligible for this program.
- Individuals do NOT need to be a YMCA member to participate.
- To qualify for the program, individuals must be at least a bit overweight and at risk for developing diabetes. Determining risk for developing diabetes can be accomplished in one of three (3) ways:

26 one-hour sessions held over a 1-year period available at several locations throughout Lorain, Cuyahoga, Erie, Geauga and Huron counties. Call for details.

Offers a nutritional educational program for individuals at risk of developing diabetes. A trained lifestyle coach will introduce topics in a small classroom setting and encourage participants as to explore how healthy eating, physical activity and behavior changes can benefit their health.

Offers a variety of recreational activities including fitness for all ages, child and youth activities, and a swimming pool. Child care center services include day care for toddlers and preschoolers, before and after school programs, year round care and summer camp for children and youth.
