Application process

Call any time and leave a message to make an appointment to ensure there will be a cage available for animal(s) being surrendered. Can also email the request. Animals may not be accepted same day without an appointment. Calls and emails are usually returned within 48-72 hours. Appointments are scheduled during service hours. Organization does not pick up animals that are being surrendered.

Fee

Fixed fee. Fees for those residing outside Cuyahoga County are double the fees for county residents. Organization may consider reducing fees for those who can demonstrate financial hardship.

Eligibility

Stray dogs are not accepted. Animals must be relinquished by adult owner or authorized agent of owner, 18 years of age or older. Accepts stray cats. Will return animals that don't qualify for adoption due to health or behavior. Cannot guarantee placement of sick or injured pets or animals with behavior issues.
