COMMUNTY GARDENS | WASHINGTON COUNTY HARVEST OF HOPE

Harvest of Hope manages two community garden sites in Washington County. Plots in the garden are available to community members free of charge. Gardeners agree to donate a portion of the produce they grow for Harvest of Hope to distribute to pantries and free meal programs. The gardens serve several purposes. The vegetables meet a nutritional need for many of the families, both during the summer and throughout the year as many participants can or freeze the produce. Additionally, there is a sense of community pride that comes from the creativity and pleasure of tending an attractive garden in the middle of town.
