Rehabilitation Services | University Hospitals Geauga Medical Center

Provides inpatient occupational, physical, and speech rehabilitative therapy services consisting of treatment by certified practitioners through a variety of methods. Inpatient clinicians address rehabilitation, remediation, adaptive methods, and/or compensatory techniques to assist patients in achieving safe maximum function following surgery, injury, and/or neurological incidents.

Application process

Phone for an appointment M-F: 8:30am-5:00pm. Referral by physician is required each time client requests service.

Fee

Third party payment accepted: some Private insurance; Medicaid; Medicare. Those without insurance may be eligible for the Hospital Care Assurance Program (HCAP) (which may cover certain aspects of care). Sliding scale (may slide to zero in some cases) for those who are not eligible for HCAP, have no insurance, do not qualify for any third party payment program, and have income up to 400% of the federal poverty guidelines. Discounted care may be available for those without insurance and income over 400% of federal poverty guidelines. Sliding scale and discounts apply only to medical services that would be covered by the Ohio Medicaid program. Financial counseling is available. Also limits monthly payments to a certain percentage of the family monthly income.
