Provides advance the health, rights, welfare, and quality of life of people receiving long term care services. State certified staff and volunteers investigate and resolve complaints for persons who live in nursing homes, assisted living homes, adult care facilities and individuals receiving home and community-based services. The Ombudsman provides information regarding Medicare, Medicaid, resident consumer rights and long term care quality options and alternatives. Serves nine counties: Clark, Champaign, Greene, Logan, Montgomery, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Shelby.
