State certified staff and volunteers investigate and resolve complaints for persons who live in nursing homes, assisted living homes, adult care facilities and individuals receiving home and community-based services. The Ombudsman provides information regarding Medicare, Medicaid, resident consumer rights and long term care quality options and alternatives. Serves nine counties: Clark, Champaign, Greene, Logan, Montgomery, Preble, Darke, Miami, and Shelby.
