Persons having experienced mental illness providing encouragement, support, hope, assistance, guidance and understanding to other persons experiencing the same, through the use of listening, coaching, teaching and mentoring skills. Key to the service is the ability of the provider to know when and how to tell what part of their story to the person they are mentoring.
