Shelby County United Way collaborates with local businesses, government, non-profits, and individuals to solve pressing social service issues. UW raises funds, identifies needs, priorities and gaps, pools resources, and collaborates to help improve lives and the community.Through Shelby County United Way's women's initiative, POWER, volunteers are needed for kindergarten tutoring on a weekly or every other week basis. The minimum time frame is one hour per week during the school's structured timeframe.
