Unused or expired medications may be turned in for safe disposal at the Muskingum County Jail Lobby at 28 N. 4th Street, Zanesville. The lobby is open 24 hours 7 days a week.

Walk-ins. Just walk up, press the buzzer, enter the lobby, and drop off medications into the permanent vault. Check with local pharmacies as they may also accept many types of unused medications. The State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy provides the public with safe disposal instructions for both unused prescription drugs and medical waste products.
