SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR VETERAN FAMILIES (SSVF) / OPERATION CLEVELAND HOME FRONT | FRONTLINE SERVICE
Provides housing assistance, case management and assistance with obtaining benefits under the federal veteran-serving agency, landlord/tenant assistance, and other appropriate community benefits and services. If needed, will provide rental deposit and rent payments. Once rent and/or security deposit is granted, agency may provide additional assistance such as: transportation (bus fare, car repair, car payment), utilities payment and/or deposit (gas, electric, water only), storage and moving costs, and household supplies.

Eligibility
Cuyahoga County Veterans (with any discharge but dishonorable) who have served at least one day of active duty. Household income must be at or below 50% of the Area Median Income (AMI)(2021, 50% AMI monthly for 1 person is $2296; 2 people $2621; 3 people 2950; 4 people 3275; 5 people 3538; 6 people 3800; 7 people 4063) Must be imminently losing current primary nighttime residence (living in unit without paying rent, staying with friends or relative, housing shared with others (doubled up). Also serves those with a court ordered eviction (does not accept 3 day notices from the landlord). Those who are "doubled-up" must have a letter from the host family stating that the veteran must leave within 21 days of application for this program. All other available community resources will be explored and assistance will only be granted as a last resort.
