SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING, AND MATH PROGRAMS (STEM) | THE WORKS: OHIO CENTER FOR HISTORY, ART & TECHNOLOGY

STEM initiatives are everywhere in the museum and also strategically aligned to State of Ohio content standards for education. STEM programs include: - School tours spending the day at the museum - Traveling outreach programs - Exhibits throughout the museum - Special events incorporating business and industry Another important component of STEM is connecting industry, education, and community. The Works is as a catalyst for these entities to come together in a positive, mutually beneficial atmosphere. Industry partners are instrumental in the success of STEM programming and vital to demonstrating real-world application of STEM education. STEM business partners participate in special events and activities to highlight their businesses, show community impact, educate children and young adults on STEM professions, and recruit future interns and/or employees from the local community.
